‘Under The Night Sky’ stemmed from wanting to write something a bit more ambiguous and descriptive rather than personal and direct. I was attempting to write a poem which eventually formed the lyrics and the melody followed.
The video was filmed over the duration of 3 months and involved multiple visits to Wales to film the stars. In different locations we projected clips that we had recorded of the band playing the song in front of a green screen. One frame at a time we photographed the projections and as the night drew on this gave the effect of the stars revolving in the background.
We had a lot of fun making the video – special thanks to Rich Williams & People Staring for staying up for many nights and creating it.
