I’m really happy to share ‘Illusions’, a collaboration with the amazing Svaneborg Kardyb.

I made lots of demos for this song and it took several iterations before the chorus arrived. We invited Svaneborg Kardyb to be part of it and they really helped to evolve the sound-world. I’ve been a fan of their music since I first heard them and I’ve been really happy to get to work with them.
The lyrics of ‘Illusions’ reflect the times I go through – where I find making music more difficult. I was working on this song when I felt a bit stuck creatively and wasn’t feeling as immersed in songwriting. The idea of ‘Illusions’ is about this feeling, this sort of veil I put over myself and things I tell myself that just aren’t real.
It was great to work with Svaneborg Kardyb on this song, the process of working with them was seamless and they’re a really inspiring duo.
